For those who use our services often, you’ll probably already know this, but we’re throwing it out there for the general public as well. A few weeks ago, the Maxon licensing mechanism we were using here on the farm entirely broke. The license file was good, the expiration date was in the future, but it just stopped working like it was supposed to. After several emails with Maxon support and switching to a different licensing mechanism altogether, we were finally able to get C4D working here again. It took a couple days to work with support and make the switch.
Somewhat unfortunately, though, the alternate licensing mechanism breaks compatibility with C4D builds R23 and older. Only R24 and newer can work with it, so we have disabled submitting jobs to our R23 and older instances in the agent. They won’t be coming back, and they will be removed from subsequent agent builds. We’re sorry to see them go, but we weren’t really given a choice.
